What does pregnancy personal training involve?

Sessions are completely tailored to the individuals training experience and their stage of pregnancy. Your programme will continuously be adapted depending on your current trimester and how you are feeling on that particular day. You will have full confidence that you are not putting baby at harm and performing all your exercises correctly. Numerous benefits are associated with exercising during pregnancy including; weight management, improved posture, increased energy levels, maintaining cardiovascular and muscular fitness. To find out more information about the benefits during each trimester and training during pregnancy, check out my article 'Should I be exercising whilst pregnant'.

What does postnatal personal training involve?

Finding the energy and motivation to begin exercising post pregnancy can be very hard. One of the biggest advantages with personal training is you can choose the time to have your session that fits in with your new lifestyle. Your new training programme will take into consideration how many weeks post birth you are, and any complications that may have occurred. Together we can gradually build up your strength and fitness levels, to help avoid any health issues which can occur after birth.

I’ve worked with Tom antenatally with my first and postnatally after both my babies and would definitely recommend him. I have always felt supported and motivated. The sessions have adapted to the stages of my pregnancy and post natal period. Tom is really encouraging and I now feel fitter and stronger than I ever did, even before I had my children.

Why chose me as your antenatal / postnatal Exeter personal trainer?

As a parent myself, I have an understanding of the difficulties achieving a healthy balance between family life and your own personal time. I decided to obtain my qualification as antenatal / postnatal exercise instructor after several of my clients became pregnant and I wanted to make sure that I could offer them the best possible service, whilst following all the latest guidelines to keep them safe.
